Dr. Khalid Mehmood Khan, Head of the Department of Liver and Gastrology, Jinnah Hospital, Lahore and Associate Professor, Allama Iqbal Medical College, Gastroenterologist, Liver and Diabetes, said, “The liver is a very important organ of the human body. Weighing 1400 to 1600 grams, this organ performs many functions. If the liver is protected, it can protect the human body, that is, the liver is fundamental to keeping the human body healthy and strong. Medication without a doctor's prescription can cause inflammation of the liver. Overuse of sedatives and antibiotics can also damage the liver. The disease is more prevalent in countries including India, Burma, Afghanistan, Algeria and Mexico where hygiene standards are lower than in developed countries. Hepatitis (B) and (C) can be short-term, but in most people it is long-term, leading to gradual liver shrinkage. Pakistan has seen a sharp rise in its prevalence over the past few years. Hepatitis (B) disappears on its own because about five to ten percent of children and 90 percent of adolescents are immune to the disease. I succeed. Some people can also get liver cancer. Hepatitis (C) is usually transmitted through the bloodstream, so a blood test is very important. Only healthy blood should be transfused when needed. Barber's razors, blades, scissors, beauty parlor tools and dentist's tools can spread the infection. Items used by the patient such as brushes, razors, scissors, combs etc. can also spread the disease. Hepatitis B vaccine is also available. The rate of hepatitis (B) in Pakistan has also come down significantly. The use of good medicines has significantly reduced the incidence of hepatitis (B) as well as hepatitis (C). If someone gets this disease, the best treatment is the use of medicines. Injections are discouraged all over the world while in our country, every benefactor sitting in the street is injecting people with power. It must be discouraged. Drinking boiled water, washing hands and eating can also help prevent the disease.
